Corrective maintenance is the term given when we need to visit your property with a pre-arranged appointment to carry out remedial work or make changes to your monitored system
Warning!
If you have a monitored system you should never attempt to move, replace or repair any part of your system as this will create a trigger event at the monitoring centre. Always contact us in the first instance!
Corrective maintenance broadly falls into two main categories:
Fault Resolution (non-chargeable)
This visit would be to replace or repair any part of your Boundary system that has developed a fault. Customers on our Pro plan do not pay for these types of visits. The engineers carry spares with them so the repair can be quickly carried out without any fuss. The visit could also be required to correct an installtion that has developed issues or may have been incorrectly completed.
Change of System Element (chargeable)
This type of visit is required if you need to make a change to your system. For example:
- You are decorating and need to remove sensors
- You are adding new sensors to an existing system
- You wish to remove or reduce the number of sensors you have installed
In short, the visit is chargeable if you need to make a change that is not required by us or there is not a fault identified.
How to book
To book a corrective maintenance visit you should first contact our support team. They will be able to advise what work is required and if it is chargeable to you or not.
The team will then arrange for our booking department to call you with a date/time for the work to be completed. If you need to make a change to this appointment then you should contact us.
