We have recently identified that some customers who use the Sky Q as their internet service provider that there is a feature of the Sky service that will cause the hub to lose connection at 3am (03:00) each day.
The feature relates specifically to customers who have the "Eco mode" enabled on their Sky Q box. This means that between the hours of 02:30 to 05:45, the Sky Q box will go into a deep sleep mode and this will also shut down the WiFi.
Boundary relies on a constant Internet connection so having this mode enabled will interrupt it's communication with our platform and will result in a notification begin sent to you to say the hub is offline when in fact it is the WiFi that has been shut down.
This isn't anything we have control over unfortunately so if you have a Boundary hub that does not have a cellular backup service then we recommend you disable eco mode on your Sky Q box. This can be found on the Sky Q box settings under Settings > setup > preferences
Disable the eco mode and your WiFi and Boundary alarm will not be disrupted each night.
