The Boundary mobile application can be installed on all recent Android or Apple iPhone devices. Devices older than about 3.5 years, however, may struggle to run all the functions. The minimum supported systems are:
- Android: 9 (available via Google Play Store)
- iOS: 11 (available via App Store)
To find out the version of the operating system that is on your phone, try these instructions:
For iPhones:
Go to Settings > General and then tap About. You should see a screen similar to this one:
The Software Version line will tell you the currently installed iOS version
For Android:
This can vary depending on which phone you have but in general, you can go to Settings > About phone > Software Information to display the version installed. If this menu doesn't appear then you should refer to your phone manufacturer site.
Requirements
There are no special requirements for the application aside from a mobile data connection in order to use the application outside of your WiFi network and to receive push notifications from the alarm system.
The application is mobile network independent and will also function outside of the UK as long as a mobile data connection is available.
