Customers with monitoring and Police response
You shouldn't get tamper warnings on your hub as it will have been installed by our team but if you do then you must not touch the hub and instead should contact the support team for help.
If you see a tamper warning on the hub then this indicates that something is not mounted correctly. The primary culprit is often the hub itself when the tamper peg on the bracket doesn't make a firm connection to the back of the hub but it could also relate to the siren or one of the sensors.
To see what is causing the warning:
- Tap the hub display to wake it up
- Enter your user PIN and tap the Green Tick
- The tamper message will appear on the screen
Hub Unmounted Tamper Warning
This warning will display when the tamper peg on the bracket isn't making a firm connection with the tamper switch on the hub. You can see the two parts to this below:

If you have not yet mounted the hub to your wall then you will see these tamper messages as the bracket tamper peg doesn't make a firm connection.
Removing the hub from the mounting bracket
If you have mounted the hub to the wall then try gently tightening the wall fixing screw through the hole on the bottom left of the bracket near the tamper peg. You may also want to try loosening it. You also need to check the wire is securely in the groove on the hub before placing it onto the backplate as this can push away the tamper peg away and that is hanging straight down and not at an angle.
The peg has to fit snugly into the hole in the hub you see to avoid a tamper message.
The end goal here is to make sure the tamper peg makes the connection so you may even want to place some thin packing materials behind the tamper peg on the bracket to force it to make a connection if the above methods don't work. This is often caused by imperfections in the wall so the bracket isn't completely flush. Also make sure you are using the fittings we supply for the bracket as some screws, if the head is too big or sits proud, this can also cause this problem.
If you continue to have problems then by all means get in touch with the support team.
