This guide has been developed so you have all the details you need to get started installing and using your Boundary Alarm. If you get stuck at any point or have any questions at all then don't hesitate to get in touch with our support team.

Step 1 - Download the Boundary mobile app
The Boundary app has been designed to work on virtually all smartphones but it's worth checking if your phone will support the service. There are also a few permissions you will need to give your phone such as access to the phone's camera to scan the QR codes on the sensors and location tracking to use the geofencing feature.
You can download the app from either the Google Play store or the Apple app store. You're also more than welcome to leave feedback in these marketplaces if you would like to share your thoughts on how we can improve the service.
Step 2 - Create or login to a Boundary account
When you purchase your Boundary alarm you will be asked to create an account using your email address and a password of your choice. We would suggest using a password that is secure with a mixture of upper and lower case letters as well as numbers and/or symbols.
You can also create an account through the Boundary app (if you have purchased a system or login to an existing account. If you have forgotten your password then we can also send a reset password link to your registered email address.
Step 3 - Begin the setup wizard
The Boundary mobile app has an intuitive setup wizard that will walk you through the initial steps to get your account established with all the information we need for your account. The following screenshots take you through these steps:

Step 4 - Install and pair the central hub
The first stage of the install process is to get the central hub up and running. This is the "brain" of your Boundary alarm so to speak so an important part of the system.

Step 5 - Setup your rooms
The next stage of the setup wizard will allow you to set up the rooms in your home where you will have your sensors. Although you can add as many rooms as you like, we would only recommend setting up only those you wish to protect with Boundary to keep things simple.
You can always make changes to your rooms later directly through the mobile app or even add more rooms as your system grows.

Step 6 - Install your sensors
Now you have the rooms created, the next stage is to add all your sensors through the setup wizard. This is very straightforward and the process is the same for either a motion or a contact sensor. Here are the steps:
- Remove the bracket from the sensor with a flat head screwdriver
- Scan the QR code using your mobile phone camera
- Pull out the battery protection tab when prompted
- Add the sensor to your chosen room
- Repeat for the remaining sensors
You can make changes to the sensor locations and names once the wizard completes through the mobile app. The last stage is to attach them to your walls and door frames.

Step 7 - Install your outdoor siren
The outdoor siren, if you have one, is added through the mobile app in a very similar way to the sensors. Simply scan the QR code and then remove the tab protecting the batteries.

The slightly trickier part is attaching it to the outside of your home so you might want a second person to hold the ladder for you at this stage! You can see the complete process for installing the siren here:
Step 8 - Complete the setup and enjoy!
You should now be able to finalise the setup wizard and start enjoying the benefits of your new Boundary alarm!
