The Boundary system comprises of two main elements that we will update on a regular basis. We will release updates when there are new features available for the hub, sensors or the mobile app. On occasion, we may also need to push critical updates to your system to resolve a security related issue or a bug.

Boundary will provide critical software and firmware updates to keep your system safe and secure until at least 2025
How are updates delivered?
For firmware updates to the central hub or sensors, we are able to push changes directly through to your system. This action is only taken once we have thoroughly tested the update to ensure it is stable and applied the changes to selected live systems as part of our quality control program.
Your system will be informed that there is a new firmware release and it will automatically apply the update. It's not unexpected for the hub to restart as part of the update being applied so for this reason we will never apply an update whilst the system is armed.
For mobile updates, once we release a new version of the app, it is tested thoroughly in the same way as firmware changes. Once released, we will push the update to your phone via the Google Play or iOS app stores. You may on occasion need to manually apply the update but we will of course let you know.
