The Boundary system has a choice of subscription plans ranging from free for our Lite plan up to £25/month for our Pro solution. The subscription levels will "unlock" various features at each level, you can find out what's included in our features section.
Why charge a subscription?
One question we often get asked is why do we charge a subscription in addition to paying for the hardware itself? The simple answer to this is that the subscription allows us to provide a robust and reliable platform to support the Boundary system now and into the future. We've found through research that the majority of alarm owners keep their system for up to 7 years and without a subscription fee, you could be left behind in terms of development.
Here are our top 5 reasons for charging a subscription fee:
- Transparency - We're very clear from the outset about what's included at each level of subscription and allow you to easily change your plan or cancel it altogether if you wish
- Development - Our team is constantly working to develop the platform and features for both existing and new customers. The subscription fee supports that development from a financial point of view
- Stability - By charging a subscription we can continually invest in both the alarm hardware and our platform ensuring that it can scale as popularity grows and remain robust as more users purchase and install their alarm systems. It also ensures we can keep the hardware, software and our platform secure as well as dedicating more resources to our hosting platform should the need arise
- Growth - Charging a monthly fee helps us keep costs down meaning we can charge less for your initial setup and hardware. It also means we can ensure we meet additional capacity and demand as well as provide excellent support for both our professionally monitored and standard customers
- Flexibility - By having a range of plans, including one at no cost, we can give you a choice of how much you want to pay each month depending on which features you need. Don't want the bells and whistles? That's fine, we have a plan to suit your budget.

You have complete control over your subscription and can change your plan at any time you wish. There's no minimum term, no fees to change and no cancellation conditions or costs.
