Within the Boundary system, it is possible to separate out areas of your property into Rooms and then add sensors to each room. It's possible to have multiple rooms and sensors as well as be able to have more than one sensor in each room.
Rooms
The definition of a room is an area of your property where you have one or more sensors installed.
Being able to separate out a room in your property is important as it allows you set "safe areas" where the alarm should not be triggered when it is set (where pets over 35kg may be for example) as well as part arming the system and having different modes such as a day and night setting.
You can create as many rooms as you wish and give them a unique name and icon to identify them in the app but you should only create a room if you intend to add a sensor to that area.

Sensors
Sensors relate to any hardware that acts as a trigger for your alarm system. Currently, we support a pet-friendly motion sensor and a contact sensor for door and windows.
Sensors belong to a room (or area) in your property. You can have more than one sensor in each room e.g. a motion sensor and a contact sensor if you wish.

Professionally Monitored Installations
Customers who are on our professionally monitored plan will have the rooms and sensors setup for them. Once these areas have been created then you cannot change or add to them without the assistance of a Boundary engineer.
